About The Position

Bunzl is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle and deliver goods to customer locations. Drivers represent the company and serve as key contacts for customers. The role is listed as Monday through Friday, 3:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at $25 per hour.

The driver performs vehicle inspections, manages loading and unloading, secures cargo, maintains required logs and paperwork, and reports vehicle issues to management. The position requires adherence to traffic laws, safety regulations, company policies, DOT regulations, and ELD compliance, as well as providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record based on Bunzl's fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform loading and unloading.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods safely and on time to local and long-distance customer locations.

• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain the vehicle appropriately and promptly report issues to management.
