About The Position

Park Nicollet is seeking a Claims Specialist to ensure insurance and other third-party claims are submitted and/or paid on time and comply with applicable regulations and payer requirements. Assignments may include pre-adjudication and/or follow-up, facility and/or professional claims, and commercial and/or government payers. Effective performance helps the organization maintain strong cash flow and maximize patient satisfaction. The organization is seeking candidates with workers’ compensation and commercial claims experience, particularly in resolving payer denials from the provider side.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated problem-resolution skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Moderate personal computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
Working knowledge of typical office equipment.
The posting seeks candidates with workers’ compensation and commercial claims experience, particularly resolving payer denials from the provider side.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a health care revenue cycle environment.
Ability to acquire and retain complex knowledge of department and company processes, government policy and regulation, and payer requirements.
Medical terminology and procedural/diagnostic coding knowledge, including CPT and ICD.
Proficiency with health information systems such as Epic.
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

Ensure claims comply with applicable regulations and payer requirements.
Perform assigned pre-adjudication and/or claims follow-up.

Help support strong organizational cash flow and patient satisfaction.
