About The Position

The Claims Specialist Development Program is an early-career opportunity at Liberty Mutual for candidates interested in insurance claims. Claims specialists help customers recover and restore their lives after accidents or other losses. Participants learn investigative techniques and work with experts to determine the cause of accidents and who is at fault. They independently manage a claims inventory, which may involve conducting investigations, reviewing medical records, and evaluating damages to determine case severity. They resolve claims by working with individuals or attorneys to agree on case value. The program includes comprehensive required training, one-on-one mentoring, and a pay-for-performance compensation structure. The program is offered for January and June 2027.

Requirements

0–2 years of professional experience.
Strong communication skills, including providing information clearly and concisely with appropriate detail, empathy, and professionalism.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

A strong academic record with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
