About The Position

FM is a mutual insurance company focused on property risk management and resilience. Its Claims Group includes more than 200 claims professionals across 32 offices worldwide, who work with clients to minimize disruption and restore operations after events such as fires, floods, and supply chain incidents. The Corporate Claims Intern will collaborate with professionals across the organization and contribute to business projects. The position is part-time and office-based in Norwood, Massachusetts, throughout the summer months, Monday through Friday, based on business needs. Occasional travel to local business offices may be expected. The role involves exploring the claims and insurance industries, learning about FM’s claims process and insurance products, analyzing claims-related data, supporting business decisions, and contributing to projects that improve efficiency. The intern will also have opportunities to network with FM leaders and collaborate with claims professionals. The hiring range is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. The final offer may vary based on geographic location, education, skills, and experience.

Requirements

Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Risk Management/Insurance, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Ability to work full-time during the summer and commute to the Norwood, Massachusetts office.
Occasional travel to local business offices may be expected.
