About The Position

Step beyond the classroom and into an internship that matters. You’ll gain meaningful, hands-on experience while building a strong foundation of technical, leadership, and professional skills — all while contributing to work that drives real results. With a team of 525+ insurance and construction experts, Builders Mutual brings together everything our partners need in one place — from commercial insurance solutions to construction safety resources. Our culture of teamwork, inclusion, expertise, and community isn’t just something we talk about; it’s how we work, support each other, and make a difference every day. Work with us and start building your career with purpose. Claims adjusters are in the business of helping people recover after they’ve experienced a loss from an accident or disaster. As a Claims Intern, you’ll learn how adjusters guide customers through one of life’s most stressful moments with knowledge, care, and efficiency. You’ll gain firsthand exposure to the claims process — from individual claims handling to departmental metrics and adjuster support — while also developing a clear view of how claims fit into the full insurance cycle. Along the way, you’ll build skills that matter in any career, learning about our products and processes, strengthening your communication, negotiation, and time management abilities, and seeing how adjusters measure success through metrics and customer outcomes. To prepare you for success, interns are required to complete a self-study course and obtain an adjuster license before the program begins. All costs are fully covered.
