About The Position

The Claims Intake Analyst interacts with insureds when they report a loss and performs an initial coverage review. The role ensures initial claim investigations are completed accurately and promptly, works across departments to resolve customer issues, and facilitates workflow between field and home offices. It also provides administrative office and management support and performs other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Strong proven ability to operate independently and prioritize assignments.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints.
• Ability to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Outstanding written and oral interpersonal skills, including critical listening.
• Excellent organizational and teamwork skills, with creative problem-solving ability.
• Typing proficiency and computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to learn new technologies.
• College degree or equivalent experience; relevant experience preferred.

• Background in the insurance, healthcare, or law industries is preferred.
• Relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with insureds at the time of loss notification and perform an initial coverage review.
• Ensure initial claim investigations are executed with timeliness and accuracy.
• Work with multiple departments and functions to resolve customer issues.
• Facilitate and expedite workflow between field and home offices.
• Provide a full range of administrative office and management support.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the manager.
