About The Position

Mountain West Farm Bureau is hiring a full-time Claims Field Representative to investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of liability for personal, casualty, or property loss or damage. The representative learns to communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, and other parties to investigate and resolve claims. This is a remote position requiring the employee to be located in the Sidney, Montana area. The role typically works 40 hours per week and involves working in office settings and at claimants’ sites. Travel to claim sites is required as needed. The starting wage is $4,383–$5,186 per month, depending on experience. The successful applicant must pass a drug and alcohol screening, undergo a background check, and have a clear Motor Vehicle Report. The position is considered at will.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to pass a state adjuster’s licensing exam.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to claim sites as required.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to perform extended periods of walking, sitting, bending, climbing, and carrying ladders.
Ability to work extensively with computers, mobile devices, and other productivity tools.
Must pass a drug and alcohol screening, undergo a background check, and have a clear Motor Vehicle Report.
