About The Position
The Claims and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for overall claims management and incident investigation, including accident and injury investigations, safety metrics, root cause analysis, reporting, and corrective action recommendations. The position also assists the Compliance Manager with CTPAT, OSHA, and customs compliance requirements. This is an office position located within a crossdock facility; access to the crossdock requires compliance with applicable PPE requirements, including reflective clothing and steel-toe shoes or shoe coverings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer and Microsoft product skills required.
- Ability to learn new programs as necessary.
- Solid work history.
- Willingness to function successfully in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior claims handling experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete auto accident investigations and internal reporting.
- Report auto claims to the insurance company’s third-party administrator.
- Assist with cargo claim investigations and communications.
- Manage workers’ compensation claim investigations and reporting.
- Complete safety incident root cause analysis and provide corrective action recommendations.
- Manage accident subrogation efforts and ensure timely retrieval of funds.
- Review and continually update standard operating procedures in the safety and compliance departments.
- Serve as backup to safety personnel for safety-related tasks.
- Assist with CTPAT quarterly audits and recertifications.
- Advise corporate management on new and existing compliance risks.
- Maintain OSHA accident reporting and log compliance.
- Assist with parent company safety and compliance reporting.
