About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our team in Gatineau. Requirements

Claims adjuster license, category 5a
Minimum 5 years of experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
Proficient in Microsoft tools
Good time management skills
Valid driver's license required

PAA certification an asset

Responsibilities

Works closely with the team of adjusters and management.
Gathers facts from insureds/third parties/witnesses by tactfully and vigilantly questioning them according to client quality standards.
Investigates facts and circumstances to determine the cause of the loss and establish liability, if applicable.
Assesses and determines the extent of damages according to client standards.
Negotiates a fair and satisfactory settlement for all parties involved.
Performs assigned tasks in accordance with established work standards, policies, and procedures.
Meets production objectives established by management.
Actively adjusts claims while ensuring business development opportunities are maximized.
Markets and follows up on opportunities in a timely manner.
