As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our expanding portfolio of civil construction projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations. At Infracon, Safety. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of civil construction projects, from pre-construction planning through to completion and close-out. This role works closely with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This position requires a proactive, organized, and solutions-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment. Project demands, timelines, and priorities may shift based on operational needs, requiring strong adaptability and decision-making skills. The Project Manager will also contribute to improving project execution processes, cost tracking, reporting, and overall project performance across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction
- Experience managing projects such as earthworks, utilities, pipelines, and road construction
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project financials
- Experience working with subcontractors and contract administration
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project delivery
- Promote and uphold Infracon's Health, Safety, and Environment culture
- Comply with all company and WorkSafeBC safety regulations and procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and site requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract
- Valid First Aid and CSTS 2020 certification
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing as required
- Completion of corporate and site-specific orientations
- Use of required PPE at all times on-site
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or related field is an asset
- P.Eng. designation or PMP certification is considered an asset
- Experience with HeavyJob and HeavyBid software is an asset
Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from planning through execution and close-out
- Partner with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Lead and support field teams, ensuring alignment with company standards, safety practices, and project goals
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, including contract preparation and management
- Review and manage project costs, budgets, and financial performance, including forecasting and variance analysis
- Prepare and provide regular project updates and reporting to leadership and clients
- Support material procurement, purchase orders, and equipment coordination
- Identify and resolve constructability challenges and operational issues
- Manage change orders and extra work orders, including pricing and approvals
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards
- Support development of site-specific plans including safety, traffic management, and quality control
- Mentor, coach, and support development of project team members
- Lead project close-out activities, including documentation and post-project reviews
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify opportunities to improve project processes, reporting, and execution
