About The Position

HDR is seeking a Civil EIT to assist with civil/site engineering work. The role supports site studies and designs, contract documentation, and graphic presentations, and performs site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage. Assignments generally use standard engineering techniques and procedures and have clear objectives with limited variables. The Civil EIT may work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects, and also performs project-management administrative duties and other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk InfraWorks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., OpenFlows) as required.
• 2+ years of site civil experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentation.
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage.
• Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
