Site Civil EIT (Land Development)
About The Position
HDR is hiring a Site Civil EIT to support land development and civil/site projects. The role assists a Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation, and graphic presentations. It performs routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures, completes projects with clear objectives and limited variables, and handles administrative duties associated with civil/site project management. The employee may work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects, and may perform other duties as needed. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D.
- Experience with specialty civil platforms such as Openflows, as required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentation.
- Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage.
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
- Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
