About The Position

Marshall Dennehey, P.C., an Am Law 200 civil defense firm with more than sixty years of service, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of civil litigation experience who wants early responsibility and meaningful exposure on complex cases for its Scranton, PA office. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-exposure cases for Fortune 500 clients in a collaborative and supportive environment. The practice is team-based and highly collaborative, offering meaningful client interaction and a clear path for professional development and practice growth. This is a hands-on role whereby associates in this group will have the opportunity to take and defend depositions, draft and argue substantive motions, and litigate matters from inception to resolution under the direction of senior attorneys. The matters will be diverse and meaningful and may include premises and retail liability, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defect, commercial auto/trucking litigation and more. Many of these cases involve catastrophic losses, multiple claimants, and fatalities, requiring strong judgment, organization, and strategic thinking. At Marshall Dennehey, there is an investment in attorneys' development. While associates are not expected to independently manage cases from inception through trial on day one, they will work closely with experienced shareholders and associates who are committed to mentoring and skill development. Through hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting, associates will gain the confidence and capability to grow into full case management at their own pace. The department has produced trial lawyers who now lead teams, manage books of business, and litigate serious matters throughout various offices.
