About The Position
Marshall Dennehey, P.C. is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Westchester, New York office. The role is for an attorney with one to four years of civil litigation experience who is interested in early responsibility and meaningful exposure to complex, high-exposure cases for Fortune 500 clients. The practice is team-based and collaborative, providing client interaction and opportunities for professional development and practice growth. Associates work under the direction of senior attorneys and may take and defend depositions, draft and argue substantive motions, and litigate matters from inception to resolution. Matters may involve premises and retail liability, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defect, and commercial auto/trucking litigation. Many cases involve catastrophic losses, multiple claimants, and fatalities, requiring sound judgment, organization, and strategic thinking. The firm provides mentorship, hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting to support attorneys’ development toward full case management. The compensation range is $118,000–$150,000, negotiable based on experience and portable business.
Requirements
- One to four years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication skills.
- Strong judgment, organization, and strategic thinking, particularly for cases involving catastrophic losses, multiple claimants, or fatalities.
Responsibilities
- Take and defend depositions.
- Draft and argue substantive motions.
- Litigate matters from inception to resolution under the direction of senior attorneys.
- Work on civil defense matters, which may include premises and retail liability, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defect, and commercial auto/trucking litigation.
