Civil CAD Designer - Land Development

About The Position

Atwell, LLC is hiring a Civil CAD Designer for land development work. The designer uses AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments on time and to Atwell standards, producing project drawings and supporting design staff with drafting practices and procedures. The role also involves reviewing survey and property documentation to assess existing site conditions and development considerations, revising plans as directed, and coordinating workflow status with Project Managers and Team Leaders.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
At least 4 years of design experience in residential, commercial, or industrial land development required.
AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices and procedures.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and in accordance with Atwell standards.
Produce project drawings, including soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking.
Review project survey data and analyze existing site conditions and development considerations, including legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
Edit and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients, as directed.
Communicate workflow status with Project Managers and Team Leaders to meet chargeability goals.
