Civil CAD Designer - Land Development

About The Position

Atwell, LLC is hiring a Civil CAD Designer for land development projects. The role uses AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to prepare project drawings, review survey and property documentation, and update plans based on direction from agencies, municipalities, and clients. The designer also supports drafting practices and procedures and communicates workflow status with Project Managers and Team Leaders to help meet chargeability goals. Atwell is a consulting, engineering, and construction services company serving the real estate and land development and energy markets. It has more than 2,000 team members across more than 75 locations.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 4 years of design experience in residential, commercial, or industrial land development.
AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource for design staff on drafting practices and procedures.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments on time and in accordance with Atwell standards.
Produce project drawings, including soil erosion plans, site layouts, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking.
Review project survey data and analyze existing site conditions and development considerations, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condominium documents.
Edit and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients, as directed.
Communicate workflow status with Project Managers and Team Leaders to meet chargeability goals.
