About The Position

Churches across the Bristol, Tennessee area are seeking child care providers for nursery and Children’s Ministry care during services, group meetings, special events, and other occasions through the SitterTree app. Jobs are primarily available on Sunday mornings, with additional opportunities on Saturdays and weekdays. Providers choose when and where they work, with no minimum weekly hours. Positions are available throughout Bristol and the Tri-Cities area, including Johnson City, Kingsport, Blountville, Bluff City, Piney Flats, Elizabethton, and surrounding communities. Babysitting and nannying opportunities with families are also available. To get started, create a profile on the SitterTree app, view nearby jobs, pass a background check to apply and get booked, and receive payment within 24 hours after each job. Most jobs pay $20–$25 or more per hour. SitterTree is a technology platform connecting parents, preschools, and congregations with trusted local child care.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing and able to complete and pass a background check.
Previous child care experience as a babysitter, nanny, church nursery worker, daycare or preschool worker, or early learning center teacher, or in a similar role.
Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including diaper changing, naptimes, and bottle feeding.
Strong understanding of child development.
Patient, kind, and nurturing.
First aid/CPR certified, including pediatric certification.

Responsibilities

Provide child care in church nurseries or Children’s Ministry settings during services, group meetings, special events, and other occasions.
