About The Position

The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters is hiring for a Christmas Receptionist. This is a full-time, 35 hours per week, seasonal position, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026, which pays $15.00 per hour. The role involves earning additional income during the holiday season while making a meaningful impact by helping those in need.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good phone, communication, data entry, filing, computer, and organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible in attitude and nature.
  • Requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and pass TSA MVR check.
  • Also requires other background checks.
  • Must maintain client confidentiality.
  • Must be available to work weekdays during office hours with some evenings and Saturdays as needed.
  • Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc.
  • Work requires frequent use of computer terminal and other office equipment.
  • Requires long periods of sitting, and close visual examination of computer products.
  • There may be some standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, and small packages.
  • Position may occasionally be expected to help set up rooms for meetings and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Answer Christmas phone lines.
  • Provide necessary information and referrals as appropriate.
  • Determine eligibility of callers for Christmas assistance.
  • Process applications via phone and mail for qualifying applicants.
  • Track number of incoming calls and referrals daily.
  • Assist with mailings.
  • Input client data into information management system.
  • File applications after they are entered into the computer.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe From Harm guidelines.
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect of others’ property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
