About The Position

The Chipset Program Manager is a key member of Qualcomm Technologies’ Data Center Business Unit, responsible for driving chip development programs from initiation through delivery. The role collaborates with engineering, product, business, and executive stakeholders to define and execute the program Plan of Record; manage schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risks; and address complex technical issues and critical execution priorities. The Program Manager represents the program and drives alignment across stakeholders. This position requires onsite work in San Diego five days a week. The role works independently with minimal supervision and exercises sound judgment on decisions affecting program commitments, financial outcomes, operations, and customer relationships. It translates complex technical and program information for audiences with varying levels of expertise, including senior leaders and large groups; uses negotiation and influence to align stakeholders; navigates ambiguity and assesses downstream impacts; develops processes and work products within established guidelines; and applies advanced data analysis and analytical reasoning to evaluate alternatives and solve problems when information is incomplete or conflicting. Success means predictable milestone execution, early visibility into risks and dependencies, clear decisions and accountable owners, timely resolution of cross-functional issues, and trusted communication and disciplined execution. The role promotes alignment and accountability across engineering, product, business, and executive stakeholders in complex, fast-moving environments, with leadership grounded in integrity, ownership, and enterprise outcomes.
