About The Position

The Chiller Rehanger is responsible for removing birds from a belt and transferring them to a moving shackle line, placing each bird on a shackle and hanging it by the hock. The work requires lifting birds weighing up to 15 pounds and holding them until they are properly hung. The role is performed from an elevated, stationary platform in a hot, humid environment. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation and work with others to adhere to Tyson’s safety culture. The position pays $17.20 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements may be contacted for a facility visit. Former Tyson employees must wait 180 days before reapplying; applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times are not eligible for rehire. Team members seeking to transfer from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Relocation assistance is not available. Some roles require a background check, with additional documentation provided after an offer. Hourly applicants must complete a task after submitting an application to provide additional information for consideration.

Requirements

Able to lift birds weighing up to 15 pounds repetitively.
Able to stand, reach, lift, and pull downward.
Able to perform repetitive tasks using both hands, arms, and wrists.
