About The Position

The Chiller Rehanger transfers tubs of product from the line to pallets, adds ice, attaches lids, and stacks the tubs. The role also retrieves empty tubs, positions them under a line chute, and operates a lever to fill them with breast meat. The employee transfers pallets to the aging room using an electric pallet jack and rehanges birds from a conveyor line by placing both legs into shackles at a rate of 23 birds per minute. Additional pay is provided: $0.20 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., and $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. and 4:59 a.m.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for long periods, 8 or more hours, on concrete or a steel platform.
• Must be able to use small handheld tools such as knives and scissors.
• Must be able to perform repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling motions, torso twisting, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a cold, warm, or wet environment.
• Must be able to work around moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transfer tubs of product ready to be aged from the line to a pallet.
• Shovel ice into tubs, attach lids, and stack tubs onto pallets.
• Retrieve empty tubs from a stack and place them under a chute on the line.
• Pull the lever to fill tubs with breast meat.
• Transfer pallets from the staging area to the aging room using an electric pallet jack.
• Rehang birds from a conveyor line by hanging both legs into shackles at a rate of 23 birds per minute.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
