Children's Personal Care Aide
About The Position
Axcess is hiring a Children’s Personal Care Aide to provide in-home support to a child with special needs in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The role focuses on supervision, personal care, and daily assistance to help ensure the child’s safety and well-being while giving the family peace of mind. Axcess is a home care provider serving children with special needs and disabilities across South Carolina and is contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) to provide aide services to eligible children. The company is hiring for multiple clients throughout the state. The schedule is Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Be physically able to assist a child with special needs.
- Have a valid driver’s license and insured transportation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the child and monitor safety.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide diapering and incontinence care.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Assist with daily activities and routines.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the child’s care.
