Children's Personal Care Aide
About The Position
Axcess is hiring a Children’s Personal Care Aide to provide in-home support to a child with special needs. The role focuses on supervision, personal care, and daily assistance to support the child’s safety and well-being and give the family peace of mind. Axcess is a home care provider serving children with special needs and disabilities across South Carolina, contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) to provide aide services to eligible children. The company is hiring for multiple clients throughout the state. The listed assignment is in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2–5 p.m.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Be physically able to assist a child with special needs.
- Have a valid driver’s license and insured transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and monitor the child’s safety.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide diapering and incontinence care.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Assist with daily activities and routines.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the child’s care.
