Children's Personal Care Aide
About The Position
Axcess is hiring a Children’s Personal Care Aide to provide in-home support to a child with special needs. The role focuses on supervision, personal care, and daily assistance to help ensure the child’s safety and well-being while giving families peace of mind. Axcess serves children with special needs and disabilities across South Carolina and is contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) to provide aide services to eligible children. The company is hiring for multiple clients throughout the state. The position is located in Blythewood, South Carolina. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be physically able to assist a child with special needs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insured transportation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the child and monitor safety.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide diapering and incontinence care.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Assist with daily activities and routines.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the child’s care.
