About The Position

Axcess is hiring a Children’s Personal Care Aide to provide in-home support to a child with special needs. The role focuses on supervision, personal care, and daily assistance to support the child’s safety and well-being and give the family peace of mind. Axcess serves children with special needs and disabilities across South Carolina and is contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) to provide aide services to eligible children. Multiple clients are being served throughout the state. The position is located in Darlington, South Carolina, with a schedule of Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Be physically able to assist a child with special needs.
• Have a valid driver’s license and insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the child and monitor their safety.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide diapering and incontinence care.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Help with daily activities and routines.
• Perform light housekeeping related to the child’s care.
