About The Position

The Childcare Teacher supports the safety, education, and care of young children at The Sunshine House. The role provides a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment and an engaging classroom where children can learn, play, and grow. Teachers support children’s social and emotional development and foster a love of learning through the Creative Curriculum and Brain Connect programs. They build partnerships with families through daily app updates and personal discussions. The position is at 980 Wiley Bridge Road, Hwy 92, Woodstock, Georgia 30188. The stated pay range is $14 and up, with candidates who have advanced early childhood education experience and education potentially qualifying for higher pay. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The Sunshine House operates more than 100 schools across seven states and has provided early education and childcare for 50 years.

Requirements

Passion for working with young children.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.
Experience with lesson plans, curriculum, and classroom management with children ages 3–4.

Nice To Haves

CDA and/or TCC preferred.
Advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify for higher pay.
