About The Position

New Horizon Academy is hiring energetic, nurturing, and dedicated Childcare Teachers in North Carolina. The role is for someone passionate about early childhood education and making a positive difference in children’s lives. Teachers work in equipped classrooms alongside a caring team and receive support from knowledgeable staff. They help foster children’s learning and development and contribute to shaping future leaders. Applicants must meet or be able to complete the applicable North Carolina education, experience, and training requirements, and complete the required childcare criminal background check and qualification determination before employment. The position is approximately 40 hours per week. Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required for candidates who meet applicable state requirements.

Requirements

Be reliable and dependable, with a positive work ethic.
Meet or be able to complete the applicable North Carolina education, experience, and training requirements for the position.
Have a passion for working with young children.
Be available to work full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
Complete the required North Carolina childcare criminal background check process and obtain the necessary qualification determination before employment.
Provide documentation of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
Have the physical ability to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Previous childcare experience is preferred, but not required for candidates who meet applicable state requirements.
Interest in beginning or continuing education in early childhood education or a related field.
