About The Position

Requirements

Experience working with young children.
Some coursework in early childhood education, education, or a related field.
CPL 1, 2, or 3; wage assignment is based on documented years of experience and education or training in OCCRRA.
Ability to work as part of a team and lend a helping hand.
Ability to support families through daily communication and engagement.
Commitment to children’s development throughout the year.
Ability to provide social and emotional support and build healthy relationships.
Professionalism, integrity, motivation, and commitment to quality.
Punctuality and appropriate workplace interactions, dress, and communication.

Responsibilities

Ensure the health and safety of children.
Prepare and implement hands-on activities.
Actively supervise children at all times.
Communicate with families daily, including verbally and through pictures, videos, or messages.
Build strong family relationships through goal setting and engagement in classroom activities.
Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork.
Be punctual.
Enroll in and complete training through training platforms.
Use appropriate interactions, dress, and communication.
Create activity plans and keep paperwork up to date during paid work time.
