Childcare Teacher-Experience Required
About The Position
Small Hands Big Dreams is seeking an experienced Childcare Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and creating meaningful learning experiences for young children. The teacher leads a classroom and supports children’s learning through exploration, creativity, nurturing relationships, and social-emotional support. The role also involves partnering with families, working collaboratively with a team, and maintaining a professional, dependable commitment to quality care. Wage within the posted range is assigned based on documented experience and education or training.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children.
- High school diploma, unless enrolled in a TECC/vocational program focused on early childhood education or attending college as a high school student studying early childhood education.
- Professionalism, integrity, teamwork skills, and punctuality.
- Commitment to quality early childhood education and to supporting students throughout the year.
Nice To Haves
- Some coursework in early childhood education or a related field.
- CPL 1, 2, or 3.
- Creativity, energy, and willingness to sing, dance, and join in activities.
Responsibilities
- Support children’s health and safety.
- Prepare and implement hands-on activities.
- Actively supervise children at all times.
- Communicate with families daily, including verbally and through pictures, videos, and messages.
- Build strong family relationships through goal setting and engagement in classroom activities.
- Provide social and emotional support and foster healthy relationships.
- Work as part of a team.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and appropriate interactions, dress, and communication.
- Enroll in and complete training through training platforms.
- Create activity plans and keep up with paperwork during paid work time.
