About The Position
Small Hands Big Dreams is seeking an experienced Childcare Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and creating meaningful learning experiences for young children. Requirements
- Experience working with and caring for young children.
- High school diploma, unless currently in a TECC/vocational program focused on early childhood education or enrolled in college as a high school student studying early childhood education.
- Professionalism, teamwork skills, punctuality, integrity, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to support families through daily communication and engagement.
- Commitment to children’s growth throughout the year.
Nice To Haves
- Some coursework in early childhood education or a related field.
- CPL 1, 2, or 3.
- Creativity, energy, and enthusiasm for singing, dancing, and fun classroom activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of children.
- Prepare and implement hands-on activities.
- Actively supervise children at all times.
- Communicate with families daily, including verbally and through pictures, videos, or messages.
- Build strong family relationships through goal setting and engagement in classroom activities.
- Provide social and emotional support and foster healthy relationships.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and lend a helping hand.
- Enroll in and complete training through training platforms.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and appropriate interactions, dress, and communication.
- Create activity plans and keep up with paperwork during scheduled work time.
