Childcare Lead Teacher (Full-Time)

About The Position

As a Childcare Lead Teacher at ChildServe, you will work with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. You will plan activities and create an environment that promotes safety and age-appropriate development in the childcare program. You will also provide leadership and guidance to classroom staff as part of the Childcare Leadership Team. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour and increases based on years of experience and education.

Requirements

At least two years of experience working in a childcare setting.
An associate degree is preferred; candidates with a high school diploma and additional relevant childcare experience will be considered.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including passing required physical examinations, lifting up to 35 lbs, and maintaining active mobility throughout the workday.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Current CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, Universal Precautions, and Medication Administration certifications are preferred.
An associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Build positive, trust-based relationships with children and families through consistent, respectful communication and supportive interactions.
Supervise children in indoor and outdoor settings, maintain required classroom ratios, and ensure a safe, engaging environment.
Support a consistent classroom environment that encourages exploration, purposeful play, and social-emotional development.
Assist with curriculum implementation and lesson planning, including GOLD objectives, and contribute to ongoing curriculum development.
Accurately document observations, significant events, and services provided.
Demonstrate teamwork, conflict resolution, and professional communication skills.
Provide leadership and guidance for classroom staff as part of the Childcare Leadership Team.
