About The Position

The Childcare Aide/Assistant Teacher is an entry-level role supporting lead teachers in providing care and education that protects, educates, and nurtures children. The aide helps create an inclusive, welcoming, safe classroom where children’s individual needs are met and learning activities are age-appropriate and engaging. The role includes hands-on experience with classroom leadership, curriculum implementation, child development, family engagement, and classroom transitions. Team members receive training, coaching, professional development, and support from the School Director and leadership team, with opportunities to grow within early childhood education.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers with classroom management and compliance with regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
Assist in creating and implementing timely, thorough, age-appropriate lesson plans in accordance with the company curriculum.
Assist with effective classroom transitions.
Assist with and supervise children during activities, using positive and appropriate discipline techniques when needed.
Maintain the classroom’s appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
Maintain a positive, professional image and adhere to uniform requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents by greeting them, addressing concerns promptly, sharing positive feedback, and providing updates about children’s development and classroom activities.
