About The Position

As a Caregiver on the CareBenefits team, you will care for children from multiple families in your area, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. CareBenefits automatically places caregivers in jobs based on experience, location, and availability. The role includes caring for children in their homes, typically for an 8-hour day, and supporting families when their regular child care coverage falls through. The position is part-time in Florence, Alabama.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Have availability to work at least one weekday, for at least 8 consecutive hours between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Have related childcare experience.
Have reliable transportation to families’ homes and be able to travel up to 15 miles from home.
Obtain Adult, Infant, and Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification before the start date; reimbursement for certification is provided.
Be familiar with and able to use app-based products and electronic devices.
Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Be able to stand for prolonged periods and bend frequently.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.
Be able to work around mildly sick children.

Responsibilities

Conduct introductory calls with each family before a booked job.
Care for children in their homes, typically for an 8-hour day.
Follow the schedule and rules set by parents.
Perform household tasks related to the care provided, such as cleaning up after meals, doing dishes, and tidying up after activities.
