About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Lead Teacher at its Clarence, New York center. The Lead Teacher works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children, following NAEYC guidelines. The role provides for the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom and creates developmentally appropriate curriculum and programs based on children’s interests and learning styles. The teacher maintains a warm, clean, and safe environment where children can grow and explore, partners with families to plan care and education, and communicates effectively with parents and guardians.

The pay range is $18.50–$20.50 per hour. The position has no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed child care facility.
