About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Lead Teacher at its Syracuse (Highland), New York center. The role involves working alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children. The teacher is responsible for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom, creating developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles, maintaining a warm, safe, and clean environment, and partnering with families to support children’s care and education. The position pays $18.50–$20.50 per hour and has no evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed child care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum.
