Child Care Floater/Substitute - Gibbs Community Learning Center
About The Position
In search of an Early Childhood Floater/Sub who will serve as a professional role model for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school agers by leading through example, encouraging healthy and safe behaviors, and creating a positive experience while ensuring safety and proper supervision. Be a part of an amazing team of YMCA staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills and supporting children as they grow and learn! Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school Diploma/GED
- Ability to be on feet for 3-5 hours at a time leading and participating in activities
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an infant/toddler setting
Responsibilities
- Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities.
- Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents.
- Maintains program site and equipment.
- Maintains required program records.
- Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year.
- Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
- Able to assist in multiple age groups and tasks
- Able to assist during meals and nap times in classrooms
