About The Position
Assistant Teachers will serve as professional role models for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and/or school-aged children by leading through example, encouraging healthy and safe behaviors, and creating a positive experience while ensuring safety and proper supervision. This role involves flexible shifts between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma
- Ability to be on feet for 3-5 hours at a time leading and participating in activities

Responsibilities
- Serve as a professional role model for children by leading through example, encouraging healthy and safe behaviors, and creating a positive experience while ensuring safety and proper supervision.
- Assist in implementing curriculum within established guidelines.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of daily lesson/activity plans.
- Supervise the children, classroom, and all activities.
- Help make ongoing, systematic observations of each child.
- Maintain positive relationships and effective communication with parents.
- Maintain program site and equipment.
- Maintain required program records.
- Maintain training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases, and Child Abuse Awareness, as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year.
- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
