About The Position

The Child Care Director leads School operations and supports children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth. The Director works with School staff to create a learning environment and keeps parents informed about their child’s progress. This role manages staff and school operations while ensuring a caring, educational, and safe environment that meets company and state licensing standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements; additional center or school requirements may apply.
• Willingness to attain state-mandated Director requirements.
• Missouri Director License required.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing at least six non-exempt associates.

Nice To Haves

• CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience in early childhood education strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan staff work schedules, evaluate staff performance, and develop performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementation of the Company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers and communicating and interpreting standards.
• Oversee School operations and ensure compliance with company and state licensing standards.
• Ensure an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
• Promote children’s imagination, self-esteem, and discovery through daily learning experiences.
• Promote the company’s positive image and its educational programs in the communities it serves.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Help achieve company profitability.
