About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2 years of childcare experience with 6 college credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development.
• 18 months of childcare experience with a CDA or CCP credential.
• 18 months of childcare experience with 24 college credits in ECE or Child Development.
• 6 months of childcare experience with an associate degree in ECE or Child Development.
• 3 months of childcare experience with a bachelor’s degree in ECE or Child Development.

Nice To Haves

• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting staff development preferred.
• Knowledge of Arizona childcare licensing requirements and regulations preferred.
