About The Position

Learning Care Group seeks a committed Child Care Director to lead school operations and support the education and development of young children. The Director promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth, works with school staff to create a learning environment, and keeps parents informed about their child’s progress. The role includes managing staff, maintaining compliance with company and state licensing standards, ensuring a safe and caring setting, and contributing to the school’s profitability and reputation in the community.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements; additional center or school requirements may apply.
• Willingness to attain state-mandated Director requirements.
• Missouri Director License required.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing at least six non-exempt associates.

Nice To Haves

• CDA, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience in early childhood education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage school staff by planning work schedules, evaluating performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementation of the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for them.
• Oversee school operations and ensure compliance with company and state licensing standards.
• Ensure an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
• Support children’s imagination, self-esteem, and daily discovery.
• Promote the company’s positive image and its standing as a provider of choice for educational programs in the communities it serves.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Help achieve company profitability.
