About The Position

At VASA Fitness, the Child Care Attendant supports the club's KidCare program by providing safe, attentive, and engaging care for children while their parents exercise. The role helps create a clean, welcoming, and well-run environment that families trust, using meaningful interactions, age-appropriate activities, and consistent safety practices. The position is based at 3010 Route 34, Oswego, Illinois 60543. KidCare operating hours are 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday; flexible shifts are available within these hours. The base rate is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Friendly, engaging, and dependable presence.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized KidCare space.
• Ability to adapt and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating positive experiences for children and families.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in childcare, education, youth programs, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, fun, and attentive care for children while their parents work out.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming KidCare space.
• Follow check-in and check-out procedures to ensure child safety.
• Engage children in fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Comply with required background checks, safety scans, and child care standards.
• Support a positive team culture through teamwork, reliability, and communication.
• Help families feel confident, supported, and eager to return to VASA.
