About The Position

AWARE is hiring a full-time Child and Family Support Specialist in Billings, Montana. The role provides services to children and families in the community, working closely with AWARE clinical professionals and following prescribed curriculum lesson plans and treatment plans. The specialist assesses clients, families, and their environments; coordinates and conducts a team process to develop individualized treatment plans; and helps children and families access medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services. Requirements

Thorough understanding of human services, resources, and tools.
Ability to assess clients and families from a strengths-model perspective and skills, knowledge, and abilities to develop a theoretical perspective.
Ability to work with a variety of people.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

A BS/BA degree in a human-services-related field is preferred; an equivalency may be based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

Work closely with AWARE’s clinical professionals to provide services as assigned and developed through prescribed curriculum lesson plans.
Spend time with clients and families as assigned and/or identified on the treatment plan.
Assess clients, families, and environments using assessment tools.
Coordinate and conduct the team process to develop a comprehensive individualized treatment plan.
Provide services to identified children and families to help them access medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services.
