About The Position

AWARE is hiring a full-time Child and Family Support Specialist in Missoula, Montana, at a starting rate of $21.00–$26.08 per hour. The role supports children and families in becoming active members of their communities and focuses on personal growth. The specialist works with AWARE clinical professionals and provides services according to prescribed curriculum lesson plans and treatment plans. The position also helps identified children and families access medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services. A bachelor’s degree in a human-services-related field is preferred, though an equivalency may be considered based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of human services, resources, and tools.
Ability to assess clients and families from a strengths-model perspective and develop a theoretical perspective.
Ability to work with a variety of people.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A bachelor’s degree in a human-services-related field is preferred; equivalency may be considered based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

Work with AWARE clinical professionals to provide services assigned and developed through prescribed curriculum lesson plans.
Spend time with clients and families as assigned or identified in the treatment plan.
Assess clients, families, and their environments using assessment tools.
Coordinate and conduct the team process to develop a comprehensive Individualized Treatment Plan.
Help identified children and families gain access to medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services.
