About The Position

AWARE is seeking a Child and Family Support Specialist to provide community-based support to children and families. The role works closely with AWARE Clinical Professionals to deliver services according to assigned curriculum lesson plans and treatment plans. The specialist assesses clients, families, and their environments; coordinates and conducts team processes to develop comprehensive Individualized Treatment Plans; and helps identified children and families access medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services. Requirements

Thorough understanding of human services, resources, and tools.
Ability to assess clients and families from a strengths-model perspective and develop a theoretical perspective.
Ability to work with a variety of people.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A BS/BA degree in a human-services-related field is preferred; equivalency may be based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.

Responsibilities
