Child and Family Support Specialist - Community Support Services (Billings, MT)
About The Position
AWARE is seeking a Child and Family Support Specialist to provide community support services to children and families in Billings, Montana. The role works closely with AWARE Clinical Professionals to deliver services according to assigned and prescribed curriculum lesson plans. The specialist spends time with clients and families as assigned or identified in treatment plans, assesses clients, families, and their environments using assessment tools, and coordinates and conducts team processes to develop comprehensive Individualized Treatment Plans. The specialist also helps children and families access medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services. The position is full-time, with starting pay of $21.00–$26.07 per hour.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of human services, resources, and tools.
- Ability to assess clients and families from a strengths-model perspective, with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to develop a theoretical perspective.
- Ability to work with a variety of people.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A BS/BA degree in a human-services-related field is preferred; an equivalency may be based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.
