About The Position

AWARE is seeking a full-time Child and Family Support Specialist in Missoula, Montana. The specialist supports children and families in the community, helping them become active and vital community members while focusing on personal growth. The role works closely with AWARE Clinical Professionals to provide services assigned through prescribed curriculum lesson plans, and spends time with clients and families as assigned or identified in treatment plans. The specialist assesses clients, families, and their environments; coordinates and conducts team processes to develop comprehensive Individualized Treatment Plans; and helps children and families access medical, social, educational, vocational, and recreational services. The stated starting pay range is $21.00–$26.08 per hour.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of human services, resources, and tools.
Ability to assess clients and families from a strengths-model perspective and develop a theoretical perspective.
Ability to work with a variety of people.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

A BS/BA degree in a human services-related field is preferred; equivalency may be based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.

Responsibilities
