About The Position
Cherokee Town & Country Club, one of the nation’s premier private clubs, is seeking a Part-Time Child Activities Assistant to join our team at the Town Club in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, has the energy to keep up with them, and can create an environment that feels both fun and safe. The position offers the opportunity to make an impact by helping create a place where children feel excited to visit and parents feel confident leaving them in our care. You will bring the fun through games, storytelling, arts & crafts, and themed activities, making each visit engaging and memorable. Additionally, you will build connections with Club families and become a trusted part of their Cherokee experience. The role offers a pay rate of $16.00–$17.00/hour based on experience, plus Club perks.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of childcare experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A friendly, energetic, patient, and service-oriented personality.
- Someone who naturally connects with children, parents, and families.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Dependability and a team-first attitude.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification or the ability to become certified.
Responsibilities
- Welcome children and help them feel comfortable, excited, and included.
- Provide attentive supervision while maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
- Lead games, arts & crafts, storytelling, and other age-appropriate activities.
- Assist with monthly themes and creative programming.
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's needs and experience.
- Follow secure child check-in and check-out procedures.
- Help children navigate conflicts and communicate behavioral concerns appropriately.
- Provide snacks and meals while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Keep the Child Activity Center clean, organized, stocked, and ready for fun.
- Assist with reservations, appropriate child-to-staff ratios, member billing, and reporting.
