About The Position

The Chief of Staff will collaborate closely with the CEO, executive team, and cross-functional leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, streamline processes, and enhance communication. This role serves as a sounding board for the CEO, advising on strategic trade-offs, translating high-level vision into actionable plans, and driving execution. The Chief of Staff will oversee day-to-day operations, including tracking and monitoring KPIs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, and will identify process improvements, streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and improve profitability. This position will lead and coordinate high-priority strategic projects and initiatives, monitoring project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and identifying opportunities to accelerate projects. The Chief of Staff will also serve as a liaison between the CEO and other departments to expand the CEO’s bandwidth, facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication, and prepare executive communications, presentations, and reports for leadership meetings, town halls, Q&A sessions, and Board meetings. Additionally, the role will provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making related to product, operations, and finance, screen potential acquisitions, and conduct research, analyze trends, and present recommendations. The Chief of Staff will assist in long-term planning, annual goal setting, and budgeting, and monitor progress toward strategic objectives. The technical environment includes expertise in capital structures, returns, and mergers and acquisitions in private equity; large capital expenditures; negotiation; leading due diligence; Board-level communication; coordination with consultants; project management; forecasting; budgeting; investor communication; business case analysis; and operations management.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field plus 2 years of leadership/management experience in tech startups required.
  • Capital structures, returns, and mergers and acquisitions in private equity.
  • Large capital expenditures (assessing markets, value drivers, building investment cases).
  • Negotiation (acquisition targets, sellers/investors).
  • Leading due diligence across financial, legal and operational workstreams.
  • Board-level communication.
  • Coordination with consultants for market/competitive research.
  • Project management.
  • Forecasting.
