About The Position

The Marketing Director for Taco Bell Latin America & the Caribbean (LA&C) is responsible for building both the brand and the system that enables it to scale across the region. This role goes beyond defining marketing strategy. It is accountable for creating the conditions for great marketing to happen consistently by building a strong brand, developing capable teams, and embedding a clear and repeatable operating model across markets. The ideal candidate will balance three critical responsibilities: Inspire bold, distinctive brand building that makes Taco Bell culturally relevant and drives demand; Design and implement a scalable marketing system that enables markets to plan, execute, and improve performance independently; Coach and develop leaders across the region, building capability and confidence within both the LA&C team and franchisee organizations. Success in this role is not defined by how much the individual can personally drive, but by how effectively they: Build brand strength and demand across diverse markets; Develop leaders who can operate independently; Design scalable systems that empower teams and support long-term growth. This role sits on the LA&C Leadership Team and is expected to operate as an enterprise leader and report into the LA&C General Manager. The Marketing Director will also work closely with the International CMO and the rest of the International Marketing Leaders. Travel expected up to 25%. Must be located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Plano, TX, or Irvine, CA.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years preferred of relevant experience
  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
  • Experience in QSR/restaurant industry, CPG, marketing/advertising agency, or multi-channel retail industry– international and/or franchised business experience highly recommended, experience in Latin America a plus
  • Impactful and articulate communicator with ability to conduct business (read, write, and present) in fluent English
  • Familiarity with Latin American culture preferred, fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Track record of building enduring, high-impact brands, moving beyond campaign execution
  • Proven ability to connect brand decisions to transactions, product mix, and margin performance
  • Experience designing scalable marketing systems and operating models, not dependent on individual effort
  • Strong people leader with a history of building high-performing, self-sufficient teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, franchisees, and cross-functional partners through credibility and consistency
  • Combines strategic brand vision with disciplined, operational execution
  • Employment eligibility to work with Taco Bell in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Build a distinctive, culturally relevant brand across LA&C by setting a clear vision for how Taco Bell shows up in each market and pushing for work that breaks through, not blends in
  • Design and embed a scalable marketing operating system across the region, including briefing, planning, execution, and measurement, so markets can consistently deliver high-quality work
  • Shift the organization from reactive marketing to proactive planning, ensuring clarity in priorities, calendar, and resource allocation across all markets
  • Develop and coach marketing leaders across LA&C and franchisee organizations, building capability, confidence, and independence over time
  • Create strong alignment between marketing, operations, finance, and digital, ensuring marketing decisions are grounded in commercial impact and operational reality
  • Lead the Regional Marketing Fund (RMF) with discipline, ensuring investments are focused, measurable, and tied to business outcomes
  • Drive performance through marketing, with a clear link to transactions, mix, and profitability, not just activity or brand metrics
  • Build and scale integrated ways of working across agencies and partners, including the implementation of an Integrated Agency Team (IAT) model in each market
  • Operate as a system leader, identifying root causes and building long-term solutions
