About The Position

SambaSafety is seeking a Chief Information Officer to lead its enterprise business applications and corporate IT organization. The CIO will develop and execute the strategy and roadmap for the company’s business application ecosystem, including Salesforce with CPQ, NetSuite, Zuora, ADP, contract lifecycle management, and the integrations between these systems. The role is accountable for the architecture, delivery, reliability, scalability, and continued improvement of these capabilities, while setting priorities and communicating the rationale and sequence of work to the business. The CIO will own corporate IT operations, including endpoint management, networking, helpdesk, identity and access administration, collaboration and productivity tools, office technology, SaaS and license management, vendor contracts, and the IT budget. The role will manage the device lifecycle for Mac and Windows endpoints; provide networking across offices and remote work; lead service desk operations; automate identity provisioning through integration with HR systems; operate technical controls defined by Security & Compliance; support audit evidence and business continuity; and ensure office and hybrid meeting technology works effectively. This leader will partner with business and technology leaders to translate priorities into technology capabilities and run applications and IT as products, with employees as customers. The CIO will advise executive leadership, lead change and communication, identify manual work for automation, mentor teams, establish practical technology standards, and collaborate with data, analytics, and product-engineering leaders. In partnership with the CTO, the CIO will help guide the company’s adoption of AI across business systems, IT, and operations. The role will take AI agents, automations, and other experiments into production at enterprise scale; apply AI to IT operations; lead the rollout and adoption of enterprise AI tools; and contribute to responsible AI and security governance while coordinating shared standards with product engineering and data teams. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and is a peer to the leader of the independent Security & Compliance function. Security and compliance remain independent and out of scope; the CIO partners with that function and operates the controls it defines. The role is based in Denver, Colorado, with a hybrid arrangement strongly preferred. Local candidates are preferred who can collaborate in the office with the CTO and executive team a few days each week. Success in the first year includes an aligned and active roadmap, measurable automation of manual processes, dependable and measured IT services, automated employee access lifecycle processes, accurate inventories of devices and software, routine support resolved through self-service or AI, audit-ready technical controls, and a repeatable path for scaling AI capabilities.
